World Leader in Flameless
Gas Infrared Catalytic Heaters
to Prevent Pipeline Freezing
• Gas Production
• Transmission Pipelines
• Distribution Systems
• Gate Stations For more than 40 years, Bruest has led the industry
in manufacturing catalytic heater equipment to
prevent freeze-ups in critical metering and regulating
equipment, and to heat meter buildings, platforms
and pipelines. Bruest products are exceptionally
well suited for flammable products storage areas,
and compressor buildings where there's a
hazardous condition. In 2003, Bruest introduced a revolutionary,
and now widely-proven technology to prevent
pipeline freezing: HotCat. HotCat is quiet and energy-efficient, and is
approved for Class 1, Division 1 & 2, Group D
areas. Many of North America’s most prominent
utilities now use HotCat technology to prevent
pipeline freezing without the hazard, chemical cost
and maintenance of water bath devices. And,
without the environmental and liability issues that
come with the use of ethylene glycol heaters.
Subsequently, three other important systems
were introduced. Based on the same operational
principles, a new, space-saving HotCat
prevents pipeline freezing where space is
limited. This slimmed-down HotCat system
has manual control and is manufactured in
60” to 125” models. For high pressure cut, low flow applications,
Bruest engineered Super Freez-Fiter
pipeline heaters. Bruest also offers the Freez-Fiter Plus
pilot heater, which is also ideal for in-line
heating and the heating of gas lines. Bruest flameless, infrared, radiant heating
systems provide extended service life with minimal
maintenance; many of our catalytic systems have
been in continuous service for more than two
decades without requiring an overhaul or
major repair.
The Bruest catalytic heater is approved by Factory
Mutual and by Canadian Standards Association
for Class 1, Group D locations. Each is custom
manufactured to the application.
