  World Leader in Flameless
Gas Infrared Catalytic Heaters
to Prevent Pipeline Freezing

• Gas Production
• Transmission pipelines
• Distribution Systems

For more than 40 years, Bruest Catalytic Heaters
has led the industry in manufacturing catalytic
heater equipment to prevent freeze-ups in critical
metering and regulating equipment, and to heat
meter buildings, platforms and pipelines.  Bruest
products are specifically engineered for areas such
as flammable products storage and compressor
buildings where a hazardous condition exists.

In 2003, Bruest introduced  a revolutionary,
and now field-proven technology to prevent
pipeline freezing:  HotCat.

HotCat is quiet and energy-efficient, and is
approved for Class 1,  Division 1&2, Group D
areas.  Some of North America’s most prominent
utilities now use HotCat technology to prevent
pipeline freezing without the hazard, cost and
maintenance demands of water bath devices.

Recently, in response to customer requests,
a new HotCat was  introduced.  Based on the
same operational principles, the new, space-saving
HotCat is ideal to prevent pipeline freezing where
space is at a premium.  These slimmed-down
HotCat systems have manual control and are
available in 60” to 125” models.

Bruest flameless, infrared, radiant heating
systems provide long service life with minimal
maintenance; many of our catalytic systems have
been in continuous service for more than two
decades without needing overhaul or major repair.

  • Install in Class 1, Division 1 or 2, Group D
areas without restriction – (no space-wasting
    clearances!)
  • No open flame or ethylene glycol, virtually
no NOx or VOCs! (and no "firetube roar!")
  • Units as small as 60" long are ideal where
space is at a premium, and where flexible
manual control is preferred. MORE . . .
